Hello everyone!
First of all, thank you so much for all your comments and support. We have got a lot of the information forwarded during the race although the internet conection has been limited and we have been busy racing.
We are now back on our feet after a good nights sleep.
It is of our understanding that the final ranking is number 7 after the 300 bonus minutes from the orienteering is substracted. The official list will be available at 16:00 US time.
We have been racing faster and faster during the course, and we think we had a good strategy towards the end. Also the fact that we managed to sneak in from the behind came as a big surprise for some of the top teams.
The river and padling was a bit over the top in flooded river. We lost two boards, and had to walk the last part of the river (the mad mile). No penalty for that since this took us a long time compared to being in the water.
The night trekking included some scrambling without ropes which was really nice and challenging.
The rope section was surprisingly exposed and long. 400 vertical meters with jumaring/ascending. 60 meters of free climbing. No water on the climb. so we were very dehydrated when we came back after 4 hrs on the rock face in (addition to 3 orieneering in 40 C).
Trekking sections were long and hilly, and we think we succeeded in having a high degree of discipline regarding few and structured breaks.
Mountainbiking sections were extremely scenic, but surface boring due to limited permits to ride outside roads in the National Forests. This resulted in mostly paved and gravel roads and no single track. 2 1000 meter climbs (one of the the last stage). We have done very well on the mtb sections which was noted by the other teams.
A big thanks to our great support team. They have been working hard day a night. One time we found them by a surprise at a local restaurant during our bike ride:-) We had to stop and tell them we were in TA in 10 min.
We are first of all extremly happy to be able to finish a race like this. When we also manage to rank high, this is probably the biggest sports achievement we have ever done personally and for the team.
More details later.

When are you sending out the race report with the heart rate, speed & elevation data? Very very very impressive guys! Just curious, how did you go about selecting going for 300min, instead of 720 minute of bonus points?
